BRAVO UK 2018 departed Southampton, UK, on 19th May 2018 to embark on a glorious seven night journey through Europe, aboard the luxurious Celebrity Silhouette. This specialised cruise featured the most illustrious line up of artists ever assembled on water, from international musical theatre, classical music and opera.
Headlining the musical program, was Welsh superstar Mezzo Soprano, Katherine Jenkins (OBE), and one of the world’s most distinguished Tenors, Alfie Boe. World renowned opera sensations, theatrical favourites and acclaimed classical performers will form part of the diverse musical program on offer, backed by The National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Guy Noble and Anthony Inglis for performances in the alluring Silhouette theatre on board.
As part of the specialised cruise itinerary, guests enjoyed stops in Cherbourg France, Vigo, and Bilbao, Spain. Whilst in Bilbao, guests were part of an exclusive private tour and reception at the Guggenheim Museum. Designed by the architect Frank Gehry, the Guggenheim exhibits contemporary artists of Spanish and Basque origin and works by De Koonig, Rothko and Still.
The Celebrity Silhouette is a luxury liner built in 2011, which features a Grand Dining Room, a selection of speciality restaurants, a Spa by Canyon Ranch, pool and extensive shopping arcade to wow guests between performances.
BRAVO UK 2018 was the inaugural performing arts festival at sea for European clientele and was a sell out success.
