Celebrated Spanish tenor José Carreras hit the high C’s on the high seas on board BRAVO! Cruise of the Performing Arts 2017, a tour of the South Pacific where guests were among the privileged few to witness one of his final performances.

Carreras has been a superstar among opera fans since the 1970s, when he made a series of thunderous debuts in the great Italian tenor roles, performing under the likes of Herbert von Karajan, Ricardo Muti and Leonard Bernstein at La Scala, Covent Garden and The Metropolitan Opera. He became a household name in the 1990s as one of The Three Tenors, alongside Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo, who remain the best-selling classical music ensemble of all time.
José Carreras was joined on the cruise by a host of stellar talent including internationally renowned maestro David Giménez, official BRAVO! ambassador David Hobson, Marina Prior, Taryn Feibig, Jud Arthur, Jonathon Welch, Silvie Paladino, Emma Pask, Joseph and James Tawadros, Julie Lea Goodwin, Martin Buckingham, Tania Ferris, Christopher Hillier, Guy Noble, The Metropolitan Orchestra, Andrew Mercado plus many more.

Five-time Logie Award winning television personality Ray Martin also joined Bravo 2017 as a very special guest, much to the delight of his Australian fans. The celebrated TV icon, well known as host of 60 Minutes, A Current Affair and Four Corners, presented an In Conversation segment sharing some of the most fascinating moments of his career with his journalistic photographic collection. He also interviewed artists on board to give a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of the world-class talent on board.

This exceptional series of performances unfolded across seven nights in a setting of total indulgence aboard the Royal Caribbean’s luxury cruise liner, Radiance of the Seas from October 31 to November 7, 2017. The ship boasts a 1000-seat theatre, as well as a nine-story central atrium, a gymnasium, cinema, several swimming pools and a range of quality dining options. Here are a selection of some of the incredible moments shared on board 2017’s cruise.

Be sure to join us on board 2018’s BRAVO Cruise of Performing Arts from November 13-21st for 8 nights of pure luxury and entertainment featuring a star-studded line up, celebrating what makes Australian talent world class performers.
