Choose Your Cruise informed guests of a necessary change to our itineraries in September for our 2024 cruise season. Due to current conflicts and civil unrest in New Caledonia, and the associated travel warnings issued by Smart Traveller, we have had to adjust our planned ports of call in that region. The travel warning remains in effect, and we want to ensure the safety and well-being of all artists and guests are our top priorities.
We understand how much our guests were looking forward to the South Pacific itinerary and we share their disappointment that New Caledonia remains off limits for now.
We desperately hoped for a different outcome, but sadly it wasn’t to be, and guests were informed as soon as possible.
Due to the limited availability of ports in the South Pacific and because we have a jam-packed entertainment schedule featuring 40 music acts – some requiring access to an airport — Brisbane was the only viable port option for this voyage, to ensure the integrity of the entertainment program.
The nature of our contract for the charter does not allow changes to reservations, as was disclosed during the booking process.
We sincerely apologise to our guests, and we remain dedicated to ensuring the music lovers enjoy a memorable festival at sea, with even more chances to see their favourite acts perform live, due to additional programming we have added to the extra sea days.
As a thank you to guests for their understanding, we are delighted to offer them a $50 per person onboard credit and look forward to welcoming them on board in October.
