FOR OVER TEN YEARS NOW, THE SIX MEMBERS OF THE FERAMONES HAVE REFINED A REPERTOIRE OF SOME OF THE GREATEST AND MOST SOPHISTICATED ROCK SONGS OF THE 60’S, 70’S AND 80’S – SONGS THAT ARE UNIVERSALLY KNOWN AND LOVED, THAT TRANSCEND THE GENERATION GAP BUT WHICH REQUIRE THE FERAMONES’ RARE LEVEL OF CRAFTSMANSHIP TO FAITHFULLY DELIVER. IF THERE’S A DANCE FLOOR…..THE FERAMONES WILL KEEP IT BUSY.
RICK FENN, lead guitarist of 10cc, has been touring the world with his group for more than 37 years. He has also performed and recorded with many others including Rick Wakeman, Jack Bruce, and Mike Oldfield, with whom he wrote the international hit “Family Man” for Hall and Oates. He has composed a West End Musical, three film and countless TV scores as well as an album with Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason featuring Dave Gilmour, and most recently another stage Musical with Aussie legend Brian Cadd. He still tours for much of the year with 10cc whose world-wide hit, “Dreadlock Holiday” is featured in the Feramones’ repertoire.
Also on guitar is ALAN LIMBRICK, who recently toured the world with Mike Oldfield, and has recorded with Joan Armatrading and David Knoffler. Founder of the internationally renowned London Guitar Institute, Alan was awarded an honorary doctorate for his contribution to music education. As a session guitarist, he has played on dozens of internationally successful records for a variety of recording artists.
On keyboards is ALAN PARK, Cliff Richard’s musical director and pianist for more than two decades. His impressive recording and touring career includes projects with Olivia Newton-John, Don Everley, Skunk Baxter, Manhattan Transfer, Elaine Page, and comedy artists Hale and Pace, Billy Connelly and Dame Edna. Alan’s keyboard and piano virtuosity brings exceptional variety to The Feramones repertoire.
Bass player GREG LYON has a catalogue of recording credits dating back to his fusion band Crossfire in the 70’s. He went on to become one of Australia’s iconic session players and over his long career has toured with Georgie Fame, Renee Geyer, Elvin Bishop, Glenn Shorrock, Brian Cadd, JoJo Smith and most recently, US legends Candi Staton and Rodriguez. Northern Rivers locals may remember his Byron-based band Hip Pocket in the 80’s and 90’s.
In RICK LLOYD the Feramones have found a drummer who drives the band with the power and dynamism of Keith Moon, John Bonham and Charlie Watts rolled into one, uniquely bringing its repertoire of rock classics to life. As well as a stalwart of the session world, he toured throughout and was the ‘R’ in the Sunshine Coast group RAM.
