The Bushwackers are best known for their energetic live shows that have thousands of fans dancing in the aisles, legendary performances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, The Gympie Music Muster, Woodford Folk Festival, The Port Fairy Folk Festival and many other performances in every corner of the country.

The Bushwackers perform their exciting brand of Australian music featuring the Lagerphone of frontman Dobe Newton along with a band of stellar musicians featuring fiddles, accordion, guitars, bass and drums. The Bushwackers 43 year career has created 22 Studio albums. Over 75 Musicians have played in the band and the accolades and awards over the years have arrived in a steady stream. Recently the Bushwackers were asked to perform a showcase set at the highly prestigious Americana Conference in Nashville, alongside Paul Kelly, Bill Chambers, Catherine Britt, Tim Rodgers, Mustered Courage and Melody Poole.
