Born in Barcelona into a family of great musical tradition, Sergi developed his musical studies with Gino Bechi (Italy), Viorica Cortez (Paris), Francisco Ortiz (Madrid) and at Essen Hohschule (Germany). He has also performed master classes with great, legendary singers such as Montserrat Caballé, Jaume Aragall and José Carreras.
He has sung the main roles in Tosca, La Bohême, Carmen, Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Die Zauberflöte, some complete Spanish Zarzuelas like Luisa Fernanda, La Dolorosa, Bohemios, La Dogaresa and Don Alvaro’s role in La Forza del destino in Teatro Avenida of Buenos Aires. He has been Duca di Mantova in Verdi’s Rigoletto and sung the role of Alfredo at Die Fledermaus.
He has performed gala concerts with José Carreras, Kiri Te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel, Barbara Frittoli (at the Royal Albert Hall London, UK), with Montserrat Caballé at Teatro de la Maestranza (Sevilla) , with Aragall, Pons, Burchuladzde at the Auditori of Barcelona
Recently, he sang the role of Don José in Carmen for an opera tour around Spain. He also performs regularly as Don José at the prestigious Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona.
During 2016 he continues his activity in Palau de la Musica (Carmen, Verdi’s Requiem, Zarzuela, La Traviata) as well as performing solo concerts around Europe and in Japan.
