Australian music has never seen or heard anything quite like Buddy Goode.
Buddy was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA in sometime during the decadent Swinging Sixties, the cause of his family’s abject poverty. But Buddy always knew he was destined for stardom.
At the age of 18, Buddy boarded a bus — a Contiki coach tour through Thailand, in fact — and began a remarkable journey of discovery, starting with his first real love. That moment is celebrated in his song “One Night in a Bangkok Bar”, which tells the story of his ill-fated meeting with exotic dancer Ping Pong Ping.
And after a decision to “come Down Under” — triggered by a suggestion from Keith ( Urban ) — Australia is now privileged to be home to Buddy’s rare and unusual talents.
Since landing in Australia ,Buddy has graced us with 4 great albums having signed a less than lucrative deal with ABC/UNIVERSAL music.
His First release ” It’s All Goode”,was met with rave reviews and some not so rave.
However his second venture “The One and Only Buddy Goode” released in 2011 was nominated for the prestigious ARIA award for best comedy release…only to be pipped at the post by Hamish and Andy.
With his third release in 2012 ” Unappropriate” Buddy was once again nominated for the ARIA…and this time he won beating the likes of Arj Barker and Sammy J.
2013 will once again be a bumper year for this song maker. With the release of his 4th album “It’s A Buddy Goode Christmas” fans across the globe will be able to feast on a collection of 13 brand new original Christmas songs from the one and only.Christmas will never be the same!
All four albums capture his indomitable spirit, his boundless charm and his undisputable talent. Australian music has got more than it bargained for with Buddy Goode! But it’s definitely All Goode.
