Sailing from Sydney, Rock The Boat 2012 enjoyed 9 glorious nights of music and entertainment on board the luxurious Rhapsody of the Seas.
Featuring an unbelievable line-up of original International and Australian 50’s & 60’s Rock n Roll performers all who performed on the incredible cruise which sailed in October 2012.
Headlined by international twister, Chubby Checker and the cream of Australia’s Top 40 artists from the 60’s and 70’s which is reminiscent of the Bandstand/Go-Show/Kommotion days, they performed in a variety of on-board venues, including the majestic Broadway Melodies Theatre, Shall We Dance Lounge, Viking Crown Lounge, Showboat Lounge and the Schooner Bar & Pool.
The line-up featured original artists including the King Of Pop Normie Rowe, Marcie Jones, Issi Dye, Digger Revell, Jade Hurley, Marty Rhone and lots more, performing their original hits while the ship provided the dancing room and the opportunity for patrons to be dined with the world’s best food and service or enjoy 24 hour room service. Australia’s Rock and Roll King, Johnny O’Keefe was also represented by his daughter and performer, Vicky O’Keefe.
Passengers aboard the music festival at sea also enjoyed the tropical beauty of the South Pacific for seven nights, visiting ports of call in Lifou, the paradise capital of sleepy tropical archipelago, The Loyalty Islands, Port Vila – a desirable destination for passengers nestled in Vanuatu; and Noumea, A French Caleldonian crowd favourite for Rock the Boat passengers.
