We pulled out our flares, best neon lycra and dancing shoes as we welcomed international superstars on board Cruise N Groove 2017. Joining Australia’s biggest retro music festival at sea in 2017 featured pop heavyweights KC and The Sunshine Band, known as one of the biggest hit-makers of the disco era and credited with changing the sound of modern pop music. International stardom quickly followed KC and The Sunshine Band for the glorious booty-shaking disco classic Get Down Tonight among other chart exploding phenomena including That’s the Way [aha aha] (I Like It), (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty and Please Don’t Go; which continue to be discovered and loved by new audiences the world over.
But wait, there’s more! Additional headliners such as Boney M, Mi-Sex Marcia Hines, Go West and Cutting Crew made the Cruise N Groove party even bigger when it set sail from Sydney to the South Pacific in October 2017.
Cruise ‘n Groove, hosted on the luxurious cruise liner Radiance of the Seas, began its musical journey from Sydney and set sail to the tropical beauty of prominent South Pacific island holiday destinations including Isle of Pines (New Caledonia), Mystery Island (Vanuatu) and Noumea (New Caledonia).
