Richard Troxell’s beautiful lyric tenor voice has been thrilling audiences in leading roles in opera houses and on concert stages around the world, among them Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, The Metropolitan Opera, Opera Australia, L’Opéra Comique Paris, Opéra Monte Carlo, Opéra National de Montpellier, Vancouver Opera, Opéra de Montréal, Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, Teatro del Lago Chile and the National Theater for the Performing Arts Beijing.
Equally at home on the concert stage, Richard has performed with the American Symphony Orchestra,  BBC Orchestra, Berlin Radio Symphony, Boston Pops, Cincinnati Pops, Colorado, Detroit, Madison, Saint Lous, Santa Fe, San Francisco Symphony Orchestras as well as Orchestre d’Antibes, Orchestre de Monte Carlo and Orchestre de Paris.
Starting out as an actor in musical theatre, Richard loves returning home to the Broadway and Pops standards, singing the hits of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Loesser and Lowe, Rogers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd-Weber and many more.
In 2016, Richard made his Metropolitan Opera debut in Michael Mayer’s production of Rigoletto followed by his Broadway Debut in the New York City Center’s Tony Award “Encores” Series in Rodgers’ and Sondheim’s Do I Hear a Waltz.  His performance of Pablo Neruda in Daniel Catan’s  Il Postino with Opera Saratoga was his debut into the world of Spanish Opera. He also joined the Bravo Cruise ship Australia.

Richard Troxell’s recordings include the role of Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly, Beppe in I pagliacci under the baton of Georges Prêtre, What A Wonderful World, So In Love and Classic Broadway.
