Anthony has been thrilling audiences with his versatility from the moment he arrived on the theatrical scene. Known for his astounding performance as the title role of the Phantom in Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber’s The Phantom of the Opera, Anthony’s versatility has enthralled audiences since his 1981 debut with the Australian Opera, at the tender age of 19.
Blessed with a thrilling voice and a gift for mimicry, Anthony has been able to inhabit an extraordinary diversity of roles from high opera to musical comedy, including The Secret Garden, Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, Jekyll and Hyde, Man of La Mancha, and A Little Night Music, as well as a significant supporting role in Les Misérables and his most recent Australian performance as the title role in Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street for a selected run of dates in Melbourne and Sydney earlier in June 2019.
In addition, BRAVO 2020 will be joined with one of West End’s & Broadway’s most celebrated stars – Ruthie Henshall. Ruthie’s multi-award winning career has seen her star in the most popular musicals of the past thirty years including Cats, Miss Saigon, Crazy For You, She Loves Me, Marguerite, Oliver!, A Chorus Line, Les Misérables and Billy Elliot. She has also enjoyed tremendous success in plays, in concert and on television. Most recently, she played Mama Morton in Chicago in the West End, making her the only British actress to have played all three leading female roles in the show.
The illustrious line-up continues with Teddy Tahu-Rhodes, Peter Coleman-Wright, Cheryl Barker, David Hobson, Mirusia, Jonathon Welch, Richard Troxell, Amanda Lea LaVergne and Conductor Guy Noble accompanied by The Metropolitan Orchestra. With over 45 artists on board, BRAVO 2020 will be an all-encompassing performing arts experience at sea like no other.
BRAVO Cruise of Performing Arts 2020 sets sail from Sydney on October 13 to 20 onboard Royal Caribbean’s beautiful Serenade of the Seas.
